Sadly, there are many scams out there. STP Mills & Co is partnered with a legitimate work-from-home opportunity. There are thousands of small businesses and their contractors who have enjoyed providing services for decades. In addition, STP Mills and Co has partnered with hundreds of contractors working from home and has been providing contractor services since 2012.
Your compensation can be as little or as big as you make it. You choose the client that you want to service. Some choose their client for the compensation rate only. Some choose a client because they are open 24/7 and some choose a client that is super easy with less hourly pay. You set your own schedule and choose when and how much you work. Your paycheck is up to you!
We have team members making between $200 – $1300+ bi-weekly!
We have a low flat service fee of $69.99 per invoice. We pay our contractors on the 1st and 15th of the month. STP Mills & Co has to cover business costs including Partner fee’s, computers, bank fees, software costs, direct deposit fee’s and more. Our low, flat service fee allows us to provide you with support during your certification process and beyond. We want you to succeed!
You are an Independent Contractor, responsible for your own taxes. STP Mills & Co does not take any taxes out on your behalf. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year if you made $600 or more.
Furthermore you are not eligible to receive unemployment, overtime or benefits as Independent Contractors.
I would advise you to meet with a tax specialist to go over what you are able to write off and what deductions you can take as an independent contractor.
Top companies are outsourcing their call volume through STP Mills and Company. We then outsources to customer service professionals that are working from home and connect them to the clients in need of services. You certify for the company you choose to provide your services to, and start taking inbound customer service calls from your home. It is all computerized so you basically log into your computer and into the clients systems and the calls come directly into your phone line! You answer the phone as if you are in a call center! It’s a pretty cool concept. It gives people that can’t work outside the home or need flexibility an opportunity to be in business for themselves and make a living!
Yes, absolutely. We do not recommend taking 2 certification courses at the same time though. Each class is a commitment of 4 hours class time a day and 2-3 hours homework. Not to mention you are taking in a lot of information and it is easy to get overwhelmed with two classes. My advice would be to finish one class, service the client for at least the first SOW period so that you feel proficient enough to handle the client and then take on a second client.
*** If you are under a certification SOW and decide to end your SOW early, that is considered dropping a certification course and you will be required to wait 30 days before enrolling in another certification course. I highly advise enrolling in another course before you drop your current SOW.
You will definitely need a great headset for your phone in order to service any client. We recommend the Plantronics® device with the built in headset. Here are a few of our recommended phone/headset systems:
The admissions process takes between 1 and 7 days. Once you complete the admissions process and join the STP Mills & Co team you then choose a client certification course. Realistically, it will be around 30 days before the class starts. Classes are typically around 30 days. Once certified you can start working immediately. Depending on how quickly you choose a class, it can take around 2 months.
Because you are self employed, you are in control on when and how much you work. Choose a client that has a contract that meets your needs. If you need to provide your services only during the daytime or would like a client that is open 24/7, you can choose to do so.
Our Agents are Independent Contractors, engaged in an independently established profession and are allowed to represent competitors and also hold other full time occupations.
